Turn chatbot Markdown into a clean PDF
Assistants and language models answer in Markdown: headings, bullet lists, tables, fenced code. Pasted into a word processor it loses structure; printed from the browser it looks like a chat log. Paste it here instead and get a paginated PDF with a cover page, contents and page numbers.
How to copy the Markdown, not the formatted text
- Most chat interfaces have a copy button on each reply that copies the raw Markdown. Use that rather than selecting the rendered text, which drops the
#and|characters. - If you only have rendered text, ask the assistant to "reply again in raw Markdown inside a code block" and copy the block.
- Several replies? Paste them one after another with a
##heading before each so the contents page lists them.
What you get
- A cover page with your title, name and date, in the Clean, Report, Minimal or Letter theme.
- A contents page built from the
##and###headings, with page numbers. - Tables with repeating header rows, highlighted code blocks, footnotes, call-out boxes.
- A4, Letter, Legal or A5; running header and footer text; n / total page numbers.
Steps
- Open the studio.
- Paste the Markdown into the editor.
- Set a title, choose a theme, keep cover and contents ticked, press Preview PDF.
- Pay $5 by card for the export without the watermark. No account is created.
Studio previews carry a watermark and are deleted after 24 hours. A clean export is $5 per document, no account needed.
Things to check before exporting
- Read the content. A clean layout does not make the text correct; you are responsible for what you publish.
- Remove any image links the assistant inserted that point at the web; they are not fetched and will stop the render with an error naming the URL.
- Very wide tables are hard to fit on a portrait page. Split them into two narrower tables, or choose Legal size, before exporting.
Questions
Which assistants' output does this work with?
Any that writes standard Markdown: headings with #, lists, pipe tables and fenced code blocks. The studio does not connect to any assistant; you paste the text.
Is there a free version?
Previews are free, with a watermark. The clean export is $5 per document. No subscription, no account.
What happens to my pasted text?
It is stored so your preview and export links work, then deleted after 24 hours. It is not used for anything else. See the privacy policy.
Can I automate this?
Yes. The same renderer is available as a JSON API with a free tier of 50 documents a month. See the Markdown to PDF API page.
